The aim of this Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing qualification is to train learners to a professionally competent level, enabling them to prescribe, plan and deliver safe and effective exercise programmes within a gym or health club environment as a Level 2 Fitness Instructor.
The Level 3 Certificate in Personal Training aims to develop a learners existing knowledge and skills to a professional level, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding into gym instruction and pursue a career in personal training.
The Level 3 Diploma in Gym Instructing and Personal Training trains learners to a professionally competent level, enabling them to prescribe, plan and deliver safe but effective exercise programmes, and to develop their skills and knowledge to allow the learner to pursue a career in personal training.
The Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral is designed to provide learners with an in depth understanding of the knowledge required to ensure safe and effective exercise programming for patients with a number of medical conditions, as well as common reasons for referral onto a community-based exercise referral scheme.
The aim of the Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage Therapy is to provide learners with in-depth knowledge and skills to provide sports massage therapy to a range of clients who have dysfunctional tissue, without acute/post acute injuries or underlying pathological conditions.
The purpose of the Mental Health Awareness qualification is to provide learners with an understanding and awareness of mental health, as well as the common mental health disorders and issues. This is to help reduce both stigma and discrimination, encouraging people to talk about mental health more openly.
The purpose of a Fitness Assistant is to promote health and fitness participation to new and existing gym and health club members. It will also give learners the tools to provide a friendly and informative fitness environment, actively assisting other workers and members.
The purpose of a fitness instructor is to build fitness participation for new and existing members. A fitness instructor leads members through programmes and is responsible for the resulting member fitness experience, which should be positive and meet their individual needs.
A personal trainer’s role includes designing, implementing and evaluating exercise/physical activity programmes for a range of individual clients by collecting and analysing client information to ensure the effectiveness of personal exercise programmes.
